Often I am asked why did I joined The Armed Forces My respond may sound kinda cheesy  but it is the gospel truth .
Love for my surrogate country and the need to prove that I had the gonads .Growing up in Vieux Fort Saint Lucia I was label the coward of the town I was frequently ridiculed an my pet name was Collins Ma-BoBo folks would piss in my face and called it rain my brother exploited me and the list goes on.America and the Army was the catalyst I needed to jump start my miserable life. One cold December day while walking down church street I saw a giant size bill board that says Uncle Sam wants you.Unskilled ,uneducated and a desire to succeed in life I joined the Army after considering the consideration .The US Military is the only institution in the world where a young black man from Vieux Fort Saint Lucia can start out as lower class citizen and become a prominent citizen.I became that prominent citizen with seven figures in assets .

I love the USA  simply because it is the land of opportunity the land were my two little girls were conceived and born, where my hopes, dreams and ambitions became a reality

For a quick snack we found this open bar and restaurant that help me put my finger on why Mexican restaurants in Chicago just can't compete with the eating experience on the main land..

As customary we always enjoy wandering in Cozumel we get a better sense of this rustic old town, and looking for good bargains . Today was no exception we wandered the meandering streets in a particular back alley in search of silver earrings .An artisan beckons us to enter his shop he gave us a quick demonstration of his ability he hammered a piece of silver into a beautiful butterfly sophia was tickled pink she purchased it ....

John Dorman having coffee in Paris Espresso is an essential experience to have in this city of lights and romance Especially if you are as much of a coffee addict as me.
John Dorman and Ida Miller chilling out in Paris. After hours of sightseeing we are resting our minds and legs at this side walk cafe.

I've traveled to some of the most far-flung places in the world, from time capsule river towns in Central America, to the deep reaches of South America, to the rain-drenched rain forest of Dominica's Caribbean Coast.
And yet Germany, whose paths are among the planet’s most-beaten, is perhaps my favorite country.
It’s not totally surprising. I first set foot on German soil in 1970 as a young sailor sailing aboard the legendary ship called  the Brunshoeft,  there is little not to love about Germany. In 1974 The war in Vietnam was coming to an end the US Army was re- shuffling it's troops to foreign bases I opted for Germany .I was station in a little wine producing town called Kitzingen. It's there I encountered my friend Hans Schneeberger.
